ECCC Foundation together with the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport organized the scientific conference SCIENCE CONNECTS – Digital Skills for All on 28.02 and 01.03.2023, which was held in Alexandria, Egypt, at the AASTMT.
During the conference there were presentations, discussions and panels, European experts, including Italy, Cyprus and Poland, presented and promoted the European digital education policy, for citizens and for educators, and presented the latest digital technologies for preserving national heritage facilities. Arab scientists presented their digital achievements, which can be a plane for cooperation between european and Arabic universities and scientists. During the conference, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Arab University and the ECCC Foundation. The memorandum includes the implementation of the European framework of digital competences for citizens of the European Commission (in the Arab language), which is the basic element of the European digital education policy, implementation of the ECCC european digital competence certification in Arabic -speaking countries, implementation of digital methods to scan historical facilities.
