The first scientific expedition of the ECCC Foundation to the USA set off today, i.e. on Sunday, October 9, 2022 (till 22), to Chicago. The expedition is carried out as part of the project entitled “Research on the national cultural heritage of the Polish diaspora in the USA and the creation of digital memory collections” within the SCIENCE FOR SOCIETY program of the Ministry of Education and Science.
As part of the expedition, a team of 6 scientists will conduct research in 5 church facilities, established by the Polish community. Research and development works will focus on activities aimed at preserving these objects, their interiors, using the latest 3D digital research techniques.
